Pole Artist and Model
Amanda Topchik
Biography
Amanda fell in love with pole dancing about four years ago. It all started with the purchase of a novelty pole and self teaching with the assistance of youtube. She became fascinated and decided to track down somewhere to take professional classes and went on to purchase a professional grade pole in order to safely try more advanced and athletic tricks. Amanda has since then started networking with the pole dance community and taking workshops with competition winning instructors. She was in love! Now Amanda can be seen performing all over NJ and NYC, she was also a featured performer in the NJ Pole Dance Showcase for 2012. With her portable pole she now is unlimited as to when and where she can perform and her portable pole has also opened the door for teaching, she now offers private at home lessons for women that want to learn this athletic and graceful dance style. Amanda is also a model and has found that combining her dance skills with modeling create unique and striking images. She strives to continue advancing her skills and performing as much as possible, and hopes to bring the beauty of this under appreciated art form to more eyes. Amanda has also always aspired to pursue modeling, and finally took the leap to begin doing so at the age of 19. The posing came natural and she craved more experience. Amanda began to market herself online as a freelance model and some great opportunities began to come her way. Currently, Amanda often poses for many tri-state area workshops leading her to build relationships with local photographers, meeting world renowned photographers and even learning about lighting and setup. Due to her athletic body and strong facial bone structure she is a great model for extreme lighting and unique poses. In the past year she has walked in several fashion shows for unique sustainable and alternative designers. Promotional modeling is also a strong point for her as she is able to communicate and sell any product she is given. Amanda has enjoyed the connections and friendships she has made in the past several years of modeling and performing as a pole artist and hopes continue doing so for years to come.
